Life Adventures Project Member

available to licensed practitioners

The following is a description of the options, benefits, and investment to participate in this unique adventure and nature-based counseling learning community. Full membership with inclusion of decision-making (not approval) privileges for projects, grants, equipment, and supplies. Any member facilitating outdoor activities must have current FA/CPR, preferably Wilderness First Aid. All client income must go through the Life Adventures bank account and you would get paid every two weeks (regardless of contractor or employee status).

Cost: $250 initial fee plus $600 monthly fee

  • Life Adventures social media (Facebook, Instagram, X (formally Twitter)

  • Life Adventures learning materials (including Power of One, Power of Families, and Adventure-based Group Psychotherapy books)

SUPPORT

  • Access to non-profit number (for sales tax exemption, grants, fundraising)

  • AEE organizational member (access to discounted conferences, webinars, journal, and other

  • adventure-based resources)

  • Up to one hour/month of phone consultation with a licensed supervisor

  • Access to monthly (two hour) group consultation that includes experiential training

  • Participation in monthly (one hour) Children Are Our Future group consultation meetings (with other CAOF adventure-based/nature-based practitioners)

  • Activity insurance (covers all out of office activities currently offered by Life Adventures – may be additional cost for certain high-risk activities not already in use)

  • EventBrite (to advertise and manage groups/events/programs)

  • Non-profit accountant manages 501(c)(3)

OPTIONAL

  • BestNotes electronic recording keeping for $50/month

  • Employee vs Contractor status available (Employee status gives you access to student loan forgiveness and various income tax benefits)

  • QuickBooks financial recordkeeping is available for billing (must be used if you are an employee designation)

  • Limited rent reduction for office housekeeping, maintenance, or management duties (see Life Adventures Learning Community Additional Duties file).

  • Additional phone consultation for $125/hour. (minimum 1 hour charge)

  • Career coaching available for $125/hour

  • AEE and/or TAPG conference registration for ~$300-$600

  • First Aid/CPR for ~$150-$300
