Relationship Issues

"While I have an office, I also do many of my sessions outside as we do fun activities! I typically work most afternoons and evenings."

With 16 years experience and a focus in helping families and youth with ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral/school challenges, ASD, etc, I understand the importance of individualizing therapy to best fit the unique needs of each client. We start with a free consultation by phone, where we discuss therapeutic goals and strategies we can utilize to improve you and or your family's life and happiness. I use a client-centered, strengths-based approach, where we work together to accomplish objectives. While therapy can be hard work, it can also provide a safe space to grow, have fun, relax, & learn to more thoroughly enjoy life.

As a former principal of a wilderness school for ADHD/LD youth, I incorporate clinical adventure therapy and experiential activities into the therapeutic process. This includes a spectrum of activities, from nature walks, sports, art, therapy dog (named Graham) and flying drones, to climbing trees/rock walls, or exploring the seas by paddle boards/ fishing!

Youth and adolescents sometimes are reluctant to participate in counseling; I enjoy changing this perception by offering sessions that build on their strengths and curiosities, as we explore strategies and work together toward a happier and healthier outcome. Most clients are pleasantly surprised with how much they enjoy their counseling experience!
